I am looking forward to do Post Graduation in Canada and continue to work after graduation. I am currently married and have a 4 year old daughter. I wish to bring them along when I get my PR but both of them have diffrent surname on their passport. How to process their immigration with diffrent surname? We currently live in India.

Different surnames should not be a problem. You will have to declare your wife and daughter on your own PR application (VERY IMPORTANT) and they will have to be examined as dependants. At this time, you will submit all their details as required by the application with identity documents for each as well as birth certificates / marriage certificates / etc. These items will prove the dependency and the relationships and not the surname.
