Hi,

i have immigrant visa of canada which is expiring on 8th june 2020 and the passport is expiring on 9th june 2020. I am planning to leave on 28th march 2020. Will there be any issue at the indian airport immigration department with the passport expiry date? Will i be able to board the flight to canada? Is there anything which i need to do

No idea about any exit controls conducted by your government. In terms of being allowed to travel to Canada, it isn't an issue.

It should not be a problem. Indian passport renewal is pretty fast these days, so you can try renewing it now. But it is not necessary. Getting PR card can take another month and half after reaching Canada and Indian consulate in Canada will not renew passport without PR card.

If I get the passport renewed, will the visa be issued on the new passport as well? Do I have to apply for replacement visa? Or the visa on the old passport will work?

Visa will remain on the old passport and it will remain valid.
