I'm an American filling out my family class app background information. In 2006-2007 I worked aboard a cruise ship. It sounds like they're pretty anal about background information, but do I really need to include all of the ports I visited while working, or can I leave that time period as "employed" and use the companies U.S. address? We were visiting 5 or so different locations each week for two 6 month periods. This would take some absurd detective work to figure out where and when I was at each place. Help!

I would detail that on a separate sheet of paper - not the specific dates, but the situation. If they want additional information about that, they will ask. (I was asked for my complete personal history since the age of 18 after filling the form with only the last 10 years)

Yes, I agree with Betina! If they want to look into those time periods they will let you know later.
Just explain you were sent abroad several times but none of them were longer than 6 months in a row.
