hello, am traveling to canada to study, already got my acceptance letter from a DLI in canada and have filled all the information required for the study permit application except 1 line in imm5645e Family information is not all available.

one family member is alive but we are not in contact and when attempted to contact and ask for the information required by im5645e ( Marital Statues, Present address & Present occupation) they refused to share this information.

What should i do here ? just right not available in the empty space or leave empty ? write only the information i have and leave the reset empty ? what is the correct thing to do here ?

Am worried this would affect my future if the study permit get refused due to this one line of missing information ! please advice me.

Put the information you have (presumably name and date of birth and address or city of residence at least) and write N/A for other fields, include short letter of explanation that information not available because the person is estranged and refuses to provide info.

I only have their name and date of birth, i don't know their current location what so ever , i got in contact via a middle person and am not sure what to do at this point it feels like a nightmare , my future is in the hands of a stranger and this feels it gone affect my application after all the hard work .

You're not the first to have this happen, it's not going to affect your application. Is this a sibling or who exactly?

Maybe talk them out by saying that its for their best also in case in future they want to immigrate to Canada and when it will be compared to your info if it varies they can face a lot of problem.

They immigrated and currently in the USA and that is why we lost contact so i don't think this gone be a factor of interest to them .

Just put his address as USA and explain that he's estranged from family.
