Hi,

Question about the travels (IMM5562) - do they need to know every travel even when it was within Europe? 10 years is a long time and I have done tons of travelling for work and private within Europe without having to show passport (open borders). My question is how important is it to be 100% accurate with this as I don't have all exact dates anymore.

Thank you

I'm from europe myself and had a hard time getting all my travels together. They really want to know every trip
where you left your homecountry. So you'd have to list them all.
That how I did it. I always used my phone or some other digital camera on my trips, and they all had digital date stamps,
so I used that information to date the trips and tried to remember destinations.
As for accuracy, try to be as accurate as possible. Try to remember all trips, destinations and durations as accurate as possible.
I know it's a pain in the rear end, as I've done a lot of 1-day-coffee-trips to italy and france, but it's worth the time and
will make your PR application a smooth process.

Hope this helped.

Thank you for your reply. But I have a question, how do they know I left the country? cause there is absolutely no proof of me being in the country - specially if I didn't stay overnight. That's why I wander about the crossing borders within Europe. The other travels I'm just going to check the passport stamps.

I have absolutely no idea, but the one thing I'm certain of is, that I wouldn't
mess with my PR application.
If there is a way of reconstructing my travels, I would do it, even if it'd take me hours to do.
If you're from Europe, you've traveled there for sure. CIC knows that, they probably also know we travel
without passports there. So they expect some travels in your application.
Try, together with family and friends to get some information as accurate as possible about the trips.
