If you (the applicant) are living in Canada, provide proof of your status


As an American, when I entered Canada they just looked at my passport and I drove on through. I never got any sort of stamps or anything. How do I provide proof of my visitor status?

It says that you can write a letter of explanation as to why you don't have proof of your current status - which would be that the boarder officer did not provide a stamp upon entry. But I think with your passport number, they should be able to look up your information.
