IMM5406E Dependents not accompanying me.

Hi

Like many I'm a bit confused by the IMM5406E form. I understand as the PA I need to fill one in and have done so (my Canadian wife is sponsoring). I have an 19 year old son from a previous marriage who is not accompanying me to Canada, and I realize he need to fill out a form of his own. Got it.

But in Section A of the form he completes is he listed as the 'Applicant' even though he is not coming to Canada?

Or am I still the 'Applicant' on his form?

Any comments greatly appreciated.

Your dependent child aged 19 (whether accompanying or non-accompanying) should be the "Applicant" in their copy of IMM5406E.

Many thanks for your reply - I guessed as much! Using the 'Applicant' in Section A for somebody who is not an 'applicant', and staying put in old Blighty had me foxed for a while!
