Not sure if anyone else has run across this before but I would be interested in hearing the experiences of others.
My wife and I are currently preparing an Outland PR application for her and her daughter who will turn 18 this April. She also has a son who turned 20 last year (2014) and is clearly not a dependant under the revised regulations from August 1st last year.

The consultant I am working with recently informed me that CIC now requires that both of my Wife's children will need to be included on the IMM008 and submit documents despite the fact that her son is not a dependant.

I am pushing back on this a bit as I haven't seen anything about this on CIC's web site. It is crystal clear that her son will not be eligible to be sponsored currently or in the future so I am a bit at a loss as to what the point of this would be (or if it is a new requirement). ???

The son is not listed as a dependent on 008, he would be included in the 'additional family information' form. I would advise perhaps you find another 'consultant' or do this yourself as your current one doesn't appear to understand the rules and regulations. The son was no longer a dependent when he turned 19 years of age, according to the new rules.

Good luck.
