Hi everyone

Applying inland, arriving as visitor. Do I put country of residence as Canada?

(Spousal sponsorship application)

I'm technically visiting, and not a Canadian resident?

Canada is your country of residence

Sorry still slightly stuck on this...

it asks dates "from" and "to" for this residency

from is date stamped in my passport obviously

to is what? It won't let me leave blank or write "present" - it must be a future date. I can add 6 months to my passport stamp date?

Write todays date and then add a note on a blank page behind thats what we did and it was accepted

I know this is an old question, bit I was hoping someone had an update.

If you're applying inland, while you're in the country as a visitor, you put Canada as your country of residence. So then what do you use as proof that you're living together in Canada?? We are living with my parents so we don't have a lease or any kind of property document ect to prove it. How do we handle that question on the application?

Get proof. Get names on utility bills, cell phone bills, bank/credit card statements, order stuff from Amazon.
