Dear Members,
I need your help. In generic application form i forgot to write down my email address and i have already validated the form, signed it and sent it to my sponsor in Canada. Now advice me what could be done?? Can I put my email and print another version of page 1? or I should re fill the form, validate it again but use the same previous last page as it is signed by me. Please help!!!!

I think putting down an email is a must because otherwise CIC would only send you physical mails that can have a delay of couple of weeks.

I guess, you are probably going to scan and email your updated form. How does it really matter if you send 1 page or all 6 pages? If you are concerned about the scanned page with your signatures, your wife could simply use the old page 6 that had your signature with the other newly scanned pages. I think the validation just runs some Adobe macros to validate if all fields are present and generates the scannable bar codes that are machine-readable, representation of your form. They may or may not have your email id. I am not sure. But why risk it.

Can we use scanned copies? I heard only original forms are acceptable. I never knew we could scan our signed page. I wanna make sure if its true??

someone said to me it's ok not to have your email address mentioned and your sponsor's email is enough. Is that true?

No - you cannot scan. Has to be original.

Scanned copies are not acceptable. Must be original.

In regards to email address, once you receive your application number, you can send them an email to communicate with you via email or you can create an account with cic to see the updates of your application.
