hello everyone and thank you

i am so confused. i cant understand if we need this form! my bf is canadian citizen and he is my sponsor under common law . we dont have any co-signer. do we need this form!?

thank you

elina

We are preparing our application for common-law and read on this forum to include it anyways. A forum member posted that CIC requested this form from them even though there was no co-signer. They advised to include it, lest they ask for it later and slow things up. Can't hurt!

thank you bright skies
are you gonna explain to them why dod you include this form? and do you need this form notarized at notary?

thank you

You need the form notorized by a commissioner of oaths, if you are in a big city you can get this done for 15 dollars or so. If you don't include the form you may see a delay because they will likely request it like they did in my case. I had no cosigner and they still wanted it. Better safe than sorry.

we passed this one too in our applications when we applied as a common law inland and I got my PR already.

good luck to your application..

Oh no! I have not included this in my application as I was in the same position (being sponsored by my common-law partner) and from reading the guide determined I didn't need it. Worrying now =/

lets hope everything will be ok! :)

I would say not to worry. I did not submit the co-signer and was approved.

thanks, I think this site was great in helping to put my app together but I think I have to stop reading so much on things I can't change now haha
