IMM 5406 - wife's father where abouts is unknown

Hey everyone, so we'd like to include an explanation why my wife doesn't know her father's current address and email address.

My wife's mother and her father are divorced and her father has been estranged from her family for years now and no one really knows where he's residing.

Should we write Not Applicable in the address and email address field for her father? Or is saying unknown okay?

Also, we'll add the letter of explanation but should we attach it to the same form or should we add the LOE in the supporting documents?

I was thinking of breaking up our package in three parts. - Sponsor documents, - Spousal Documents, - Supporting Documents

Organise the documents according to the document checklist. Don't create your own filing system. If his whereabouts are unknown you could leave it at that or include an explanation in your submission letter.

I think you can say unknown and just explain this in your LOE.
