My partner & I received an ITA in November. We are going to turn it down and go back into the pool as we're still waiting for an FBI check. At 488 points we expect we would come out again the next round (Jan 18th?).

But we want to do the medical in the next couple of weeks, as we will return to the UK at the end of Jan and they cost a lot more there.

What forms will we need to do the medical (in Vancouver)? I understand we need a IMM 1017E. Can we use the one from our current ITA or will the number change on the new ITA? Can we do the medical without this form at all?

You can get the upfront Meds as long as you have a UCI number... Your Meds are valid for 12 months

Do not turn it down... I also got ITA in Nov and still waiting for FBI PCC. Rather, I applied without it in December and explained in LOE.Along with it, I uploaded the courier slip as proof of submitting my request for FBI PCC.

Everyone does like that as CIC is also aware of the timelines for getting FBI PCC.

You don't need to have UCI ( Unique Client Identifier) for upfront medicals.. Book an appointment with the panel physician and tell him you want to have upfront medical. Take the copy of ITA , passport in original and any another document as asked by physician.

Good luck for your PR process.

IMM 1017E is for paper-based applications, or did they recently implement this in Express Entry?
