I have attended a junior community college(USA) off and on over the last 3 years, but have only completed a total of about 1 year's work. What do I put for the time frame I have attended versus how many years I have completed?

Say you've completed one year, but on the timeline give your start and end dates, which will add up to 3 years. Attach an explanation.

You need to mention number of years you have been worked on that program and under "degree/diploma received" (on the right side)...just mention your program and ur still working on it!

Good luck!

I did the exact same thing as you, community college but for 2 years on and off. I put "2 years" for college and put the months I'd attended "January 2005 to May 2005" then "August 2008 to December 2008" or whatever. I figured they didn't care too much about my education, so I didn't need to overindulge in specifics :)

Basically, I agree with canadianwoman's explanation, but I'd say attaching a letter explaining is optional. I did not, and have had no problems thus far. But again, I suppose it never hurts. ;D

My husband had a couple of places where there were longer times of attendance e.g. 1995-1998, but only one year completed. He did not attach an explanation, they never asked any questions and he has recieved his PPR and PR Visa. Based on that, I would agree attaching an explanation is optional.
