Dear All,

Maybe I am over-thinking but I would appreciate your help very much.

Q.12 A) During the past five years have you lived in any other country than your country of your citizenship or your current country of residence (indicated above) for more than six months? Our answer is Yes

Then we need to provide the details.

My question is do we provide the "From - To" only for the past 5 years?? Our situation is that my husband lived in the United States for 12 years. Should we start from 2001 or 2009 (considering the past five years)?

Thank you

Hi Mrs. KOR,

If there is an overlap between the start date, which would be 2009-ish to meet your five year criteria, put down your husband's start date when he lived in the states, so 2001. The most important thing is you don't want to cause confusion for your VO in the future, if he/she asks a question. So, answer it fully, even if it precedes the five year criteria (since he lived there consecutively before / after your five year start date)

Hope this helps!

Marticus thanks so much for your reply. I will do so, just to be on the safe side.

Another confusing thing in the Background Declaration form (maybe I am getting too tired) it asks to provide personal history since the age of 18 or the last 10 years whichever is most recent. My husband is 34 years old. So, we provide the history since he was 24 or 18?? Maybe I sound silly asking this question but my brain has simply stopped working... :-[

It says whichever most recent, so that means everything from 24 years and up.

Get some rest, I spent 2 months, day and night, compiling the PR application for my wife. It's time consuming, but best to make it good than not.

mikeymyke thank you very much! It is very tiring indeed. I try to get a rest and go to sleep but then I continue filling forms and write on papers in my dream ???

I wish you the best of luck in your application!
