If you apply to any universities in Canada. from Nigeria Definitely. Unless you are applying from English speaking countries like UK, USA, Australia etc, you are exempt. I mean, if you are studying or hold any credentials from these countries. That's my opinion. Experts for sure can answer it.
You don't need to provide proof for the study permit application but you may need to in order to be offered a place on the course.
