I'll be applying for my Canadian study permit by next week, I'm going there for my post secondary education. But here's the thing, I'm 17 years old right now so that makes me a minor for the province of Ontario. So, yes I'll be a minor at the time I send in my visa application, but by the time I arrive in Canada, I'd be 18. My birthday's in mid august and my session in Canada starts on 4th september, so obviously by the time I leave my home country I'd be 18. Now what's been really confusing me about my visa application is wheather I'm required to go through that whole custodianship thing. I know it's mandatory for those who are under 18, but I can't just figure this whole thing out in my case since I'll be a minor at the time of sending in my application, but will be 18 when I arrive in Canada.
Anyone who can help me figure out if I'm required to go through the custodianship thing? ONLY ANSWER IF YOU'RE DAMN SURE OF WHAT YOU'RE WRITING.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Ps- I'm from India.

Thanks!

"You" are a minor, its obvious you must satisfy the VO that you have someone responsible (notarized document required) in Canada to take care of you.
