One illegal immigrant living in Canada has been reported to CBSA 4 months before. The tip was provided anonymously over the phone. A file number was obtained and later some more information was provided as an update.

However no action has been taken yet.

During all this process, somehow it is feeling like being helpless as talking to CBSA agents doesn't give impression of prompt action or whether an action would at all be taken as they indicate that investigation is under process and there could be cases that have higher priority.

If there is any suggestion to pursue the matter then let us know. Also, if it would assist to know the reference of any other party, person, or agency that could take the information and pursue the case to ensure prompt action.

The person has been creating problems now, he no longer fears any adverse consequences of law. He is involved in small thefts that can't be detected by RCMP or other law enforcement agencies, changing identities to escape from his wrongdoings, and regular threatening to others who come in contact with him.

Provide further updates to CBSA if there is new information to provide.

CBSA won't update you on the status of their investigation since this information is confidential. So it's possible they are taking action (e.g. investigating) without you being aware.

If there is criminal activity - report it to the police.
