It can sound very weird question but I was thinking about that. What can happen with sponsored person if the sponsor dies (toc toc toc)?
The sponsored people have to come back to its country? The sponsorship is cancelled?
And if the sponsored person has bills to pay, job, studies, what will happen?

the sponsored person stays in Canada with their PR status. Condition 51 gets deleted if the sponsor died and will no longer apply to the sponsored person.

they have to live with the corpse for 2 years. mummification is recommended because it would get stinky otherwise.

Thank you sunshinemrc for the info and Kafka for the good humour :)

Now quick, delete this post so the law can't find it later and wonder why you were asking this question 6 months before your spouse 'disappeared' ;)

I too thought about that. Not because I want to bump him off, but was just genuinely curious how that would work. It is actually documented somewhere, wish I could remember where I read it, that if the spouse should die before the undertaking/condition is satisfied, then the remaining PR spouse would continue on as a PR without interruption.
