IELTS validity Period 1 year or 2 years for CEC !

Hello Seniors, can you please advise the eligibility period for IELTS score card for CEC application. As I am reading two answers in different places, one with, it should not have taken more than a year back by the time you apply (Means should have validity for more than 1 year) and other argument as it is valid for 2 years and as long as within 2 years by the time apply should be suffice? Please clarify.

IELTS is valid for two years for all immigration categories in canada not just CEC.
