So you are good to apply as you have 6 in Reading, 7 in List. and Writing, and 8 in Speaking

Are you hundrend percent sure about that?? So they round up instead of rounding down?? So let's say 5.5 is 6 not 5??? Do they follow a chart n one more thing on the chart I count finf speaking 7.5, there is 7, so do u think 7.5 will be 8 and not 7.

Thank yo somuch .

If you have qualifying Canadian work experience at Skill Type 0 or Skill Level A of NOC, your test results must match the CLB/NCLC below (see chart):

1). 7 or higher for each of the language abilities, or

2). 6 for any one of the language abilities, 7 or higher for any other two of those abilities and 8 or higher for the remaining ability,

NOC CLB Level Test result for each ability
Speaking Listening Reading Writing
0, A 8 6.5 7.5 6.5 6.5
0, A 7 6.0 6.0 6.0 6.0
0, A, B 6 5.5 5.5 5.0 5.5
B 5 5.0 5.0 4.0 5.0
B 4 4.0 4.5 3.5 4.0

Till now I duno how to analyze the table, so where is my results on the table n why they round up the results by 1, this is the second type I redo my exam, the results of the first one was 5, 5.5, 6.5 and 7 so the writing( 6.5 ) was converted to 8, n why is that? On my second retake exam, I got 5.5 on the reading , so u think its 6 not 5? And on the speaking I got 7.5, is it 8 or 7? Sorry I just wana make sure I get them right cuz my application was bounced back for the results of my 1st exam

What were the results from your 1st exam ??

The results on the first one were:

5,5.5.6.5. And 7

The officer converted them to the following, 6,6,8, and 8
So I didn't qualify.
Do u think my second exam will allow me to qualify according to my results.

Plzz reply.thanks and do u know any lawyer I can consult.thanks

The reason you were rejected the 1st time is because of that "5" that you got. 5 is considered CLB Level 5. For NOC 0,A,B type jobs, the lowest CLB Level you could get is 6 and you could only have score on CLB Level 6 ( Ex: CLB Level 6, 7, 7, 8 or CLB Level 7 or above for all 4)

The reason I'm scared about is that I emailed a alawyer n she said that I have to retake it, I duno if she's right thou. But if analyzing my result, lisening 6 falls on level 7? Reading 5.5 falls in level 6 or 5?, writing 6 falls in level 7, speakign 7.5 falls in level 7 or 8? Thank u n plz help mme

No, they round down.

Listening : 6 = CLB 7
Reading : 5.5 = CLB 6 (there is no 5.5 for reading so you round down to 5.0 which corresponds to CLB 6)
writing : 6 = CLB 7
Speaking : 7.5 = 8 (highest score to get CLB 8 in speaking is 6.5 and yours is higher)

FYI... if you plan to apply in January 2013, you will likely have to retake the test as there as plans to increase the minimum required scores.

•If you have qualifying Canadian work experience at Skill Type 0 or Skill Level A of NOC, your test results must match the CLB/NCLC below (see chart):
◦7 or higher for each of the language abilities, or
6 for any one of the language abilities, 7 or higher for any other two of those abilities and 8 or higher for the remaining ability,

Your score corresponds to CLB 6, 7, 7, 8 and meets the 2nd criteria(in red).

So are you sure about the results???? So I send me application, I've heard that I have to send it any time soon befor january 2013 is that right cuz they need to increase the elegiblity?

Thank you so much

If the scores you posted are correct, those are the corresponding CLB levels. You can also get a second opinion if you want more confirmation. Best to apply before January 2013 b/c the requirements will increase.
