Hi Seniors.

I am thinking to improve my IELTS Score.

One month ago i secured IELTS 6.0 Band. If i make an attempt to improve this band and somehow my band weakens instead of improving, in this case which IELTS Band will be considered by CHC Previous 6.0 OR new 5.0?

Help me.

Fin-Man,

Your 2nd IELTS will supercede your 1st Ielts results. The Database will have only one result of yours, i.e your 2nd Ielts results.

First one offcourse

What do you mean by which one ?

You have the choice to decide which one to be sent, when you take the IELTS, they give you the result on hand, and you submit it to the visa office unless you ask them to send a copy of your results to the visa office directly.

Therefore, whatever score you get for the IELTS you will decide whether to submit it to the visa office or not.

For the second point,

If the immigration officer have 2 results of your IELTS let us say, one scored 6 and the other scored 7, he will not consider the highest one of them, he will consider the recent one (the one that has the recent date of issue) because it reflects your current and recent proficiency in english, even if it was lower than the first one.

By the way, that is not my personal opinion, it is CIC instructions.
