IELTS results dealyed by IDP

Hi,
My wife gave her IELTS test from IDP Nepal. Her result was due last friday. They have not submitted the results yet. Upon asking them for clarification, they reply that the results are sent to Cambridge UK for evaluation. What is the matter? The delay is making me anxious as we are waiting to apply very soon.

Upon further inquiry IDP Nepal reported that the result might be delayed by a week. Why are results sent to Cambridge? Anyone with similar cases please kindly report.
