Hi All,

I want to apply for Canada Express Entry Visa. I have obtained following IELTS Scores -

Reading - 6
Speaking - 7
Writing - 6.5
Listening - 7

Overall score - 6.5

i have doubt if i retake weather i got less mark in any one or got better mark then last one.

i really confused.

Is this score sufficient to go ahead with the Express Entry process or would it be better to take the test again?

I expected a higher score, especially in Reading. but i dont know why i got 6 in reading

Looking forward to your replies.

Please Note : i have 322 CRS Score.

Thanks.

I'd say so far, those who has received invitations have had a high CRS Score. A higher IELTS score can only benefit you.

To be honest - having a CRS score of 322 is quite unlikely to get a Express Entry invitation right now since the lowest CRS score that has received an invitation so far is 735 points.

It is you who have to make decision.

It would say it´s not necessary to take it again considering this :

Reading - 6 (CLB 7 ) : 17 points
Speaking - 7 (CLB 9 ) : 31 points
Writing - 6.5 (CLB 8 ) : 23 Points
Listening - 7 (CLB 7 ) : 17 points

Total actual points for CRS : 88 points

Let´s say and being super optimistic you do it again and get a 9 in everything, in that case the max score for CRS would be 136 points and therefore you will end up with 322+48 = 370 Points, which is still a low score for getting an ITA

Be aware the example is getting a 9, obviously getting less will give you less for CRS

Anyway if you want to do it again try to improve at least 0.5 in each band to jump to higher CLB´s
Try to study and practice more, even with a private teacher a few weeks, before taking the test again

I am in the same situation as you, that´s why my suggestion

Cheers
