Hello Guys

This is a question regarding my friends case.

She just got her lmia cert. She has valid celpip result and working in canada on pgwp.

She got married and her husband is also on pgwp. they are planing to apply together. Does he has to give celpip? on the same token does he have to claim points for experience (he doesnt want to give celpip nor he wants to claim points)

Somebody please confirm?

Not mandatory for the spouse to either take the language test or claim points for their Canadian work experience. Both are optional.

Thank you asivad

Is there a page or link that confirms this on cic website?

He also have lived in usa for 7 months but never more than 3 months in a single visit. Does he has to submit usa PCC?

Thanks

Yes. Check the CRS calculator. Spouse language testing is optional, can get you additional points though which your friend doesn't need if they already have 600 points for their LMIA job.

If this was a 7 month stay punctuated by 2 breaks of 1 week each thereby never staying for more than 3 months in a row, FBI report definitely required. If this was 7 months of stay over multiple years and trips (each of which was 3 months or less in duration), not required.

Thanks

thank you very much asivad
