Hi All,

Just got my IELTS results,
Score
L - 8.5
R - 8
W - 6.5
S - 8

For writing I had done alot of scribing on the paper,
But I am sure content was woth 7 atleast.

Should Go for Re-mark or retest.

is this true that they double check the results for W and S.
If there is a difference of 2 bands in them?

In this case is it worth re-marking?

Absolutely disappointed!

Got my IELTS result today. Scored 8 in all sections, except for 6.5 in writing. With this IELTS score, I shall get 390 CRS points, which is of course not at all enough!

Could you guys kindly suggest/guide me on way-forwards? I can opt for revaluation but then it takes more than a month and during this time I believe I cannot enter the pool. Sitting for another test is another alternative but honestly, I cannot find enough courage to go through the grueling routine again! However, if it is a must then I have no choice

I have been encouraged to go for re-marking...
Still confused.

Honestly it is a gamble.

If you are okay to wait and if you feel that you have done decently in writing, please go for remarking as most of them suggested. If you are in a hurry to create your profile, please go for another test. If you don't have money constraints, please apply for remarking and please schedule another test for the closest date. If you get CLB 9 in second attempt, just go ahead and create your profile with that. Anyways even for rescheduling and getting results for new tests, you are looking at 3-4 weeks at a minimum. It is slightly better than 6 + week wait, but outcomes of both are uncertain. So you have to make a call!

I am also disappointed with my writing score (w-6)
I took the test from India. Could you please help me recall the topic for writing task 2. I remember it was about "heavy traffic".
I want to make sure that i had addressed all parts of the asked question. Based on it i will also take a call on reevaluation

If you didnt do great no need to revaluation because you need to score 7 to have a nice boost and you scored 6 which is kinda far,if you feel that you did great go for it,if not better study and retake the exam

In cities and towns all over the world the high volume of traffic is a problem. What are the causes of this and what actions can be taken to solve this problem?
I also think I addressed the question properly.
L 8.5
R 8
S 8
w 6.5 :(

will be applying for re-evaluation

how much does re evaluation cost?
and its time consuming i think
Half of your exam cost. It gonna take almost ten weeks. Meanwhile you can't use your existing score. Completely disappointed!

sharing my experience:
my IELTS results revised: ;D

Writing changed from 6.5 to 7.

4 weeks for TRF to be delivered at my door step, that's very fast.
