I don't think so it become any issue for getting admission as, your overall band is 7 and you have an international diploma as well. Just simply apply :)

thnk u very much for ur prompt reply..its 6.5 overall.

how about the visa part? as its an SPP college and it clearly written in the college admission requirement that overall 6.5 with no band less than 6..thats where i'm puzzled..

pls help:)

Contact with the college department tell them that you scored overall 7 bands but unfortunately you score 5 in reading will it be acceptable to gain admission in required course or should I reappear for the test plus tell them that your past education was also in English and you have International diploma from UK as well, I hope it will work out and as far the embassy concern they just see your overall score and sometime they don't even bother to see it as well.

Navster,

I must suggest contact local consultant in India or take tipes from one of the post here from Indian students. Firstly, for admission purpose, you did not need IELTS as you have been in UK for 5 years and if you have been studying (or even shown) for last 2 years in a English speaking country, IELTS is waived!

For SPP purpose, I will recheck with your friends or consultants, if you need to reappear in IELTS or not. As suggested above, college will have no issue in accepting you.

Yasir

Hi,

1. For Admission in a PG program: You have to take IELTS again, as no band should be below 6.0 (with overall 6.5)
2. For Visa: Why do you want to take risk with 5.0? Your 5.0 will ONLY create problems with your visa profile.

hello every one.

I am in a trouble too with IELTS scores. I want to apply for one year PG diploma in the UNIVERSITY OF REGINA. But unfortunately I could't score well in IELTS. I scored 6.5, 6 . 6 , 6 in listening, reading, writing & speaking respectively. Hence i got overall "6". :(

I went through the university web side & i think my scores won't be acceptable. Should I apply on the basis of my this result ?? or I should re appear IELTS first ??

Do reply plz

regards
jinal

Hi,

1. It would be your choice, but I don't think if it's compatible/relevant to your profile.
4. Highly recommended. It's a 'generalized business program', anyone can go for it. To make things 'more suitable', I would advise you to take GMAT test.

hi
GMAT would be tough mate..and this colleges doesn't require GMAT and they said any profile with prior experience can join this program.

For Pakistani students, if you have gotton admission in postgraduate certificate/diploma program, IELTS does not matter at later stage. However, I am not sure for SPP program, relevant to Indian students, if it is required for visa or admission side.
