i want to apply as a federal skilled worker,can i apply with my valid ielts academics....a friend said pple as applied with it in india.

has anybody sucessfully applied with it in nigeria

Surely NO...Only GT is acceptable!!!

It is still acceptable if you are a Pre-June 26 applicant. Don't worry, if you can pass the academics,for sure you can also pass the GT IELTS. GT is easier in writing module AFAIK.

Only IELTS General Module is accepted valid for 2 years. I can assure you that the General test is much easier than Academic. So go for it with confidence

Agree with u, you need to provide GT IELTS as some of the post 26 got to provide GT instead AC IELTS, which they submitted with initial application

i am a nigerian like u. The ielts academic module is not acceptable for federal skilled worker application. like other peeps have said, the general module aint difficult at all. the only challenge u are likely faced with is how to secure a space to take d test. Goodluck.

Academic IELTS was never applicable for Canadian Immigration. CIC clearly mentioned this all the times.

You must submit language test results from a designated testing agency to the CIO with your application. Other evidence in writing will not be accepted as evidence of language proficiency.

For your application to be eligible for processing, you must include the results of one of the following language tests from a testing agency designated by CIC:

The IELTS result is only required from the principal applicant.
