IELTS in India

I am on H1B visa in US and I will be traveling to India this December for my visa stamping.
Since I couldn't find any availability in the test locations around my area here, I am planning to give my Ielts while i'm in India.
Can i take this test? Will there be any pros or cons of this?

No. I too submitted the IELTS which was taken when i was in Australia. So it doesnt matter.
