Hi All,

I just received my IELTS General Training Results as below, and I would like to apply for Permanent Residency Canadian Experience Class (CEC) under NOC skill type A.

I am wondering is the IELTS score a black/white thing (i.e. eligible/not eligible) for meeting the CEC skill type A requirement? Or the higher IELTS score, the higher chance to get the PR?

My score is as below, and am I eligible to apply for Permanent Residency Canadian Experience Class (CEC) under NOC skill type A? Should I re-do my IELTS test to increase the score in order to increase my chance of getting PR under CEC Skill type A?

My IELTS General Trainig Scores:

Listening - 7.0
Reading - 6.0
Writing - 6.0
Speaking - 8.0

Thanks in advance!

You need to meet the minimum requirement. After that it doesn't matter how well you do. CEC is not a points-based system.

For your other question, I suggest you read the CEC requirements including this:

Yes you are eligible and NO you won't have a better chance if you score higher - You should just apply with this score.
