According to the recent news I have heard that IELTS is required For temp work permit is it true friends please do provide some genuine advice?Which type of profession require IELTS?My husband has Applied in hotel(cook) does he need to do IELTS???????????

@Swatee - generally IELTS or Proof of English/French language will only be required if you are applying for any of the Permanent Routes (FSW, CEC, etc).
However, in some cases VO will require it to match with the LMO min skills requirement.

not for temporary work permit but to those applying permanent residency. aside for fsw and cec are for pnp candidate should take ielts general before filing pnp. this is to ensure english profieciency is cope up with a scoring of grading of 4 and up. if only being a cook or any temp. worker just intended to work at Canada up to the maximum cumulative 4 years and no plan to be a permanent resident no need to take ielts.
