I'm on an IEC Working Holiday Visa that's about to expire, I've applied for a Co-op Study/Work Permit and I have 3 questions :)

1. When my IEC expires, if my Co-op hasn't been approved do I have implied status? Can I keep working?
2. If I do have implied status when my IEC expires, if my Co-op is approved would I have to stop working and wait for my course to start to start working again? I read that Co-op visas start date lines up with the start of your course and that you're not allowed to work until that date.
3. If I want to apply for PR in the future, what is my status while on Co-op - student or worker? I'll have both permits hopefully but I've never seen a choice on the immigration forms for student/worker it's always one or the other.

Thank you!

1. You have implied status to remain in Canada but you can't work until you begin your studies.
2. Yes, per my first response, you will need to stop working once your IEC expires and then start working again once your studies begin.
3. Student.

Your co-op work permit is tied to your study program. Your work through the program is necessary for course completion. It is your study permit that allows you to work up to 20 hours. Your co-op work permit is to fulfill course requirements. A co-op work permit doesn’t allow you to start work before studies.
1.&2. You can only work once studies begin. Up to 20 hours.
