I am hoping someone can help.
My son was issued his PORT OF ENTRY and biometrics letter for entry to canada. From IRCC for IEC.
Unfortunately it's been sent in an old surname which was in the OTHER NAMES USED SECTION of his police certificate which is obviously not the surname he uses now.
His correct surname was in the surname section on his police certificate so everything was correct up to that point.
His passport, driving licence, all ID and application information were completed and sent in the correct Surname.
All correspondence sent from Ottowa office and IRCC including emails are in the correct Surname but for some reason they have sent his PORT OF ENTRY documents in the wrong Surname which does not correspond to his application or passport etc.
We have been trying for many weeks now to have this amended as this was an incorrect entry at the visa office.
We have completed many webforms when asked and sent extra corroborating paperwork to Ottowa.
We also added a letter of explanation when requested on another webform.
He had just received an email stating that the correction can't be amended stating this is because his WORK PERMIT HAS NOT BEEN ISSUED YET.
He had already postponed a job offer as this has taken many weeks so far just to try and get the error amended.
He did everything correct all the way through.
Can you please help with some information as to who we can speak to or how we can get this done.
One email asked for his Canadian address to send out his documents to but he is still in the UK as he can't travel until his POE letter has the incorrect SURNAME on it.
He needs to know when he can travel.
