I recently got rejected from the IEC Visa because I have lived outside of Ireland for too long. Does anybody know if there is another visa I could apply for? My boyfriend is from Canada and we're thinking about him sponsoring me. I would prefer to apply for a working visa than a permanent residency at this stage. Any help about other visas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

If you're looking for a work visa, then the only real option remaining for you is to find an employer in Canada who is willing to hire you. As a first step, that employer will have to obtain an approved LMO (labour market opinion). As part of this process, the employer will have to demonstrate that they advertised the job and were unable to find a Canadian to hire or train for the role. If the LMO is approved (not all are), you can then apply for a work permit. If your work permit is approved, you can then come to Canada and start working.

Due to the amount of time (takes several months) and paperwork involved - and due to the fact that there's no guarantee of approval - many employers are unwilling to consider foreign candidates for open positions.

Having said that, you can certainly try. The first step is to find an employer.

Good luck.
