Hello there,

I am Greek and I am trying to get a holiday working visa for Canada. Was just accepted to submit an application. Which I am in process of right now.

The thing is that most probably I'd like to extend my stay in Canada, and possibly become a PR. What are the chances for a Greek citizen to be upgraded to a PR status from the working holiday visa? What exactly do I have to do? Get a job offer for longer than a year? Try the LMIA thing or Province Nominee program? Any advise would be more than welcome.

Thank you very much in advance.

No one can tell you what your chances are of obtaining PR status. That will depend on whether you meet the requirements of one of Canada's immigration programs and if you are selected (many of Canada's immigration programs are points-based). You will need to dedicate time towards researching Canada's immigration programs in detail to understand what the requirements are. You can find information about all of the programs here: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada.html

Generally speaking, it's extremely difficult to find employers willing to go through the LMIA process.
