IEC Visa Activation

Hi everyone, this probably a long shot question but thought it would be worth asking. I'm from the UK and currently working in New Zealand. I have a working holiday visa for Canada and need to enter before the 4th April to activate my visa. The problem is that I have a contract until after that date so can't move to Canada before then. Is my only option to take a holiday and fly over in order to activate the visa in time?

Use or lose it is the only option you have so you must activate it before April 4 and for UK it is once only opportunity.

. Make sure if you do take a trip that you arrive as though you are staying so full travel insurance for the duration (2 years) and access to 2500 CDN. If you arrive either without the insurance or insurance less than the duration of your IEC then you could either be refused or get a permit for a shortened time.
