IEC question: work visa expires earlier than the work permit

Hello,

I'm an IEC young professional 1-year non-renewable work permit holder.

My work visa (the sticky on the passport) has been issued in Feb 2019 so expires in Jan 2020. As I landed in Canada 2 months later, my work permit, that letter format paper was issued in March 2019 and end in March 2020.
In this case, can I continue to work legally without renewing the work visa on my passport till the end of the work permit?

The visa in your passport only indicates how long you have to arrive in Canada and activate your work permit - it has nothing to do with how long you are allowed to work.
