Hi,
Need some help with my Express Entry CEC application...
- I'm currently living and working in Canada on a IEC (Working Holiday) open work permit. This isn't tied to any employer
- I have been working for the same company since October 2019 (>1 years work experience therefore eligible for CEC)
- This is a NOC A role
- There is no LMIA for this job
- I intend to carry on working for this company for the foreseeable both whilst on my IEC and into PR
- I have a letter of employment from this company stating my full time role, term, salary, duties and that I will continue to have employment for the foreseeable
My question is, do I say Yes or No to the question 'Do I have a valid job offer?' when applying for Express Entry?
As I understand, the answer is No, due to the position not requiring LMIA. Even if I put Yes on the form, it would be ignored and I wouldn't get the additional 50 points for having a valid job offer as it is not 'valid'.
Instead, I include this employment as part of my work history part of the application and claim the Canadian Experience points.
Is this correct? And if so, what is the rationale for it being correct?
Thanks in advance.
