printing off the forms and reviewing them before and I noticed a spot for "Identity card" on the IMM 008

Specifically referring to my husband the Canadian - I'm not sure what this might mean for him (I know my kids don't have one).

Thanks!

Hi there,

IMM008 is a form for the "applicant" to fill out, not the "sponsor". If I remember correctly, your husband is the sponsor, so nothing required for him. I'm assuming, you have filled out question 18 with your passport #. I believe the identity card # refers to a nexus or US equivalent of the PR card, but not sure completely on that one. If you have a passport # I believe the Identity card number is N/A.

Yup, he's the sponsor.

It asks for information about your family on page 2 - husband, children... and that's where I put him and our two kids, and it asks about their country of citizenship, if they are of another country, occupation, education, height, eye colro and a few other things along with identity card. It has a spot at the end for the photos to be affixed eventually.

Sorry, didn't check pg. 2 of the form ::). It was not applicable in our situation, since he is the only coming from the US. I'm already here.

Guessing on this one but the Guide says to include members of your family who are not already Canadian Citizens, and since he is, he probably does not have to be listed. If you do, I woud use passport and SIN (social insurance number). Have to say, guide is not real helpful on that one. ;)

Doh!
How easy it is to misread things. THank you, you are right, he should not be listed.
