We just received our medical requests today, and as such, my husband will be flying from Nova Scotia to Texas to bring his 8 and 13 year old to their exams. To my knowledge, neither child has photo ID, but they do have birth certificates which we have in our possession.

I understand each medical office is different and we will ask the question directly when they open tomorrow, but I’m wondering how likely it is that the kids will need photo ID to have their medicals completed? Hoping we are able to present birth certificates along with my husband’s passport as proof.

thanks!

To the best of my knowledge photo ID is required. Do they have valid passports?

Their passports unfortunately expired in 2017 and my husbands ex-wife is very uncooperative in signing documents or taking them to appointments etc, so it will require him to go back to Texas twice to fulfill getting ID and then going to the medical.

Guess you'll have to see what happens tomorrow. I would bring the expired passports along with the birth certificates.

I believe the rules state that you must have valid, government issued photo ID. But again, guess you might as well see what happens at this point.
