Hi All,
I am new to forum. Not sure if this question is asked before.

I am an IT professional (12 yrs exp) from India. Currently in US for last 4 years. I am moving to Canada on ICT (Managerial) in next few months. I know that I will not have any extra points as I will be on ICT (not LAMO). My spouse will have an open work permit.
- When is the better time to apply for PR card: Now or after 1 year of Canada exp? (Reason - I trying to figure out faster mode to get PR)
- Do my spouse need to apply for PR card separately or she will get it along with me by default?
- Is it mandatory to give English test (Both my wife & I are proficient in English)?
- What is a better option apply independently or through lawyer? I know it is subjective, by any input will help.

Thanks & Regards

- You won't be applying for a PR card. You will be applying for permanent residency. It's really up to you when you apply. Probably makes most sense to submit an Express Entry profile immediately.
- You will get PR status together.
- Yes, it's mandatory for you to take the English test. Your wife should as well so that you score the maximum number of points and increase your chances of being selected for PR.
- Your choice. depends how much time you are willing to spend researching on your own.
