. . . if Canada had used this EOI system 5 years ago. When I applied under FSW I had (I think) about 83 points -- just for the heck of it, I figured out my score under the new points system: 423 out of 1200, and no transparency about processing either.
Maybe this new system is going to work well, I don't know, but personally, I think it makes it a lot harder to plan on emigrating. In my situation, I couldn't have applied without 1) the assurance that my valid application would be processed/approved and 2) the 6-12 month timeline.
