Hello, I am a PhD student in Germany researching in the field of wood-based Panels products in partnership with industries. I wish to move to Canada to search for Employment in my field of study next year after i defend my dessertation. Can someone give me a some advice on what will be required of me? Thank you

It's highly unlikely you'll be successful at securing a job as a foreign worker - so your best option is to apply to immigrate. To apply to immigrate you generally need at least one year of full time paid work experience. Canada has a number of different immigration programs and you'll need to research them to see what else is required to qualify. Suggest you start by researching the Express Entry program:

Another option would be looking for a post-doc. That would give you a year (or two) of work experience in Canada and advance your career. Joint research between academia and industry is viewed extremely favorably right now. PM me if you would like to discuss further.
