hello all,

In October 15th I was charged with a DUI in the us. due to that matter I was deported from the USA back to my homeland. recently I was trying to obtain for a visa to CA but I was asked to submit these documents:

FBI Clearance: Please provide an Identity History Summary Request (issued by the Federal Bureau of Investigations – FBI). Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada does not accept FBI police certificates issued by FBI-approved third party private companies. Only police certificates issued directly by the FBI will be accepted. This document must have been issued within 6 months from the date you submitted your application.  This must be received at this office by: 2020/01/07  Court record / Police report: Please provide the court dispositions for the offence(s) mentioned on your application form. The court dispositions must state the section(s) of the law under which you were convicted. Please note, if you were convicted of an offence involving alcohol, the court dispositions must state the section of the law under which you were convicted as well as your blood or breath alcohol level at the time of the offence.  This must be received at this office by: 2020/01/07

anyone was in this situation before? how were you able to get these documents? would love to hear any advice.

thank you
Daneil.

Hello! I'm not a professional at this by any means, but as someone that also submitted a TRP (recently, I may add), I can tell you obtaining your FBI history is quite fast/simple. Just Google "FBI Identity History Report," and you'll be taken to the FBI website. From there, pay the fee (I think I paid 18$), and then give your fingerprints (IN PERSON).

I paid my fee and had my fingerprints taken the next day. I received an emailed response from the FBI the very next day.

1. First Question, were you convicted of DUI, you said you were charged/
2. If you "blew" over .08 that is now considered serious criminality in Canada.
3. If you were convicted, and over .08, then the chances of you getting a visitor visa, are pretty close to nil.
