I was live in caregiver when I apply ei whether affect my PR application progres

Hi, I came from China. I have already gotten open work permit after I finished my two years live in caregiver contract .I will have a surgery in Jan..My illness is not infectious diseases. I want to confirm that if I apply EI and medical EI whether affect my PR application progress. Thank you for your replying.
