anybody can help me on what should i do?my canada visa has already expired and my papers(application for pr) are still on-process.it is being handled by a lawyer.my former employer hired this lawyer to handle the processing of my application when i was still working for this family.but they already moved to other province.luckily, the lawyer told me they wouldn't charge me and they still handle my application for free.this is my question.my bf and i are planning to drive to new york this summer,can i apply for a new visa by myself or do i need to apply through my representative?i just don't want to ask additional service from the lawyer since it is already free.and we all know that hiring lawyers are expensive.besides i'm trying to save for my kids coming here.can someone help me answer this please.thank you!

You can apply for your own TRV and not go through your representative. You can apply online or paper application. Just follow the instructions on the CIC website
