There are two ways you can apply for asylum in Canada. The first is to obtain a tourist visa (TRV) to Canada, travel to Canada, and claim refugee status when you arrive. The second is to move out of your home country and once you are outside of your home country, be officially recognized as refugees by UNHCR or a similar referral organization and selected for resettlement in Canada.
