I sent my application to CIC, now what?

I sent my application to CIC, now what happens ? Will they send a confirmation of receipt ? Will this be a letter or an email ? after how long? What number can i use to track the application status online with ? Or this will be included in the letter / email ?

Sorry, i though they all are treated the same, it is Federal Skilled Worker application

Processes are different for each application category.

For FSW, you won't hear anything from CIC for around 3-4 months due to the volume of applications they are processing for this class. Right now CIC is still processing applications from the end of May. So it will take a while to reach and open to yours. Until you hear from CIC, there unfortunately won't be any way for you to track your application. You'll just have to wait.
