Hi Everyone,

To the seniors who came across a request like the one below:

My wife which am sponsoring from outside Canada with out two kids received an email requesting the below

1- For your sponsor: NOA 2013, employment letter, pay stubs for past 6 months, bank statement for the last 6 months, proof of residence in Canada such as lease agreement or mortgage papers. Q. I am incorporated and provide consultation to a big company so I don't have pay stubs, will my T4 & T5 be sufficient?

2- Complete copy of your sponsors passport(s). Q. Are they looking for a full copy of my current valid passport or even the invalid one?

3- Payment of Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF) Q. Is this a sign that the process is about to finish and the visa is close? :D

Thanks!

1. Looks like they are questioning if you are actually a resident (as in living in) of Canada. Anything that shows proof that you live here is what they want. If you don't have paystubs, NOA and T4/T5 should be fine. just provide a letter of explanation on why you don't have paystubs

2. They would want your current passport but if you just renewed it recently (like since the application was sent or probably the last 2 years), then I would also send in the previous one. Since they said "complete copy", I suspect they want to see all the stamps in your passport to see where you have traveled recently.

3. It means they are processing your application. After they get all the info they need from you and are satisfied, then yes, I'd say you are close.

Looking at your previous posts, I see that you were in violation of your PR RO (730 days) in the past and was able to get back to Canada and lay low until you met PR RO before sponsoring. That explains why CIC is asking you for all this information - they are checking your PR RO. These things can take some time. So I am less confident in my comment that because you got RPRF, you are close. When CIC is suspicious of RO violation, this can be very slow process.

This is asked when CIC doubts that your sponsor is not living in CA after sponsoring. It is a rule to live most of the time in CA if applied OUTLAND. Sponsor may visit spouse for JUST FEW WEEKS

Thanks guys, I am settled here since 2011 with a good job and many proofs of residency such as mortgage, taxes, etc but I guess they want to be certain which is okay. I haven't left except for short periods to see my family.

Whatever the case I will provide them with what they need at the soonest.
