on 2013 i applied for a bachelor degree program at the embassy in my country, i got visa for 4 years i couldn't travel last year

now on 2014 i want to travel to september intake BUT another 1 year post grad program

1-on the letter of introduction it says i shouldn't enter canada no latter than the validty date noted above which is 2017

2-when i called CIC canada they say i should re apply for a new visa

3-when i emailed the embassy they said i only need to show a letter from the college stating that you are allowed to register one year later.

WHAT SHOULD I DO!!!!!????????

Be on safer side and apply visa

it will take about 5months propain which i will miss the whole program :S

where i can get the final word? information i can depend on? the embassy said no need to re apply , and i called cic 3 times 2 times said don't re apply and 1 time said re apply

:S

am i going to be denied entry?!!

incorrect

all you have to do is to obtain a college letter stating that your offer is still valid and travel to canada , pursue your course, apply for extension when time comes or 3 months to expiry of current visa

this is how it work by the rule - if u r getting to know other things - my suggestion decide accordingly

Thanks allot terki plz don't mind me on this are you sure of such information? because you know its a long way and i don't want to be disappointed at the poe

so i just present the new acceptance of 1 year program to them at the airport and i'm good to go?

no advantage in suggesting to you wrongly my friend

been seeing the cases since 6 years - so pl do ur best and proceed

again - all view here expressed are from experience and by the book - decision is urs always

note - visa once granted is valid for travel irrespective of ur intentions - however border control in canada decides your entry basis on paper work u show - in ur case a letter from college to support your intention to come to canada and pursue your college for which visa was granted..

if u need more concrete info - pl write up a urgent csq to visa office or visit them personally - again i dont see the reason why u cant travel

thanks allot terki i will go with what you've said, i was worried since i changed the level of the program i am getting from bachelor to post grad certificate that they might find me not genuine thats why

i wrote alrdy the embassy they replied me that you need to show a letter from college stating that you can regist one year later i don't know if they mean the original college ( same program i got visa for ) or ANY college

Thanks again

Hey there, i have emailed cic head office a month ago and i just got a reply from them that they said i'd need to re apply for a new trv that this one doesn't match the program

what should i do now

follow cic contact center agents and don't re apply

follow the embasy and don't re apply

or just re apply

its really big deal for me since there will be not time to catch up with this fall!

i msged terki yesterday he said laws has changed and i might need to re apply

my processing times for a reapply here would be about 4 months which i will miss the intake

i need 100% accurate information of some one who is familiar with such a thing to make the move and go with the trv i have or either re apply and wait the next YEAR intake!
